Faculty Positions

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of South Florida has two non-tenure-earning, nine-month permanent Instructorship positions available on our main (Tampa) campus starting August 7, 2017. The Mathematics and Statistics Department is seeking a Faculty Instructor dedicated to teaching excellence and committed to creating a student-centered learning environment. Instructional direction will be targeted to the General Education and Calculus courses.

Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field by the time of appointment. Preference will be given to candidates who have evidence of successful teaching, in particular in the large lecture setting.

A complete application must include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, and evidence of effective teaching. Names and contact information of three references, at least two of which attest to the applicant’s teaching effectiveness, should be included within the curriculum vitae. Additional materials should only be provided upon request.

The annual salary for nine months will be $45,000. Review of applications will begin on June 1, 2017, and will continue until the position is filled.
