Postdoctoral Research Scholar

The Department of Mathemtics & Statistics at the University of South Florida seeks to fill a 12-month, full-time, Postdoctoral Research Scholar position in Mathematics to begin on August 7, 2020. Salary is $45,659.

A Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely-related field from an accredited institution is required and the degree must be conferred by the appointment start date. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Scholar. Preference will be given to applicants whose research area is in Applied Algebra, Cryptography and Arithmetic Dynamical Systems who have a strong record of research productivity and demonstrated experience teaching university undergraduates.

This position carries a one-year appointment with an annual teaching load of two (2) courses. The contract is renewable for an additional year, subject to satisfactory performance in both research and teaching.
