Permits
Used for independent study, graduate seminar, directed research, dissertation hours, and thesis hours.

Master's--Exam Option
You must apply to graduate through Oasis. Deadline varies:
Fall: Mid September; Spring: Early February; Summer: Early June.
Master's Thesis
You must apply to graduate through Oasis. Deadline varies:
Fall: Mid September; Spring: Early February; Summer: Early June.
Required to schedule a thesis defense. Due at three weeks prior to defense.
Work with Coordinator to schedule room and fill out announcement
Ensures your name is in commencement booklet.
Information about thesis defense. Bring to Defense.
Used by department for academic assessment of the program.
Bring to defense for advisor.
Verifies that the final oral defense has been successfully completed and that thesis is ready to submit to the Graduate School pending revisions. Bring to defense for advisor.
Certifies a student's completion and approval of their thesis by their committee and department/college. Bring to Defense for advisor. Must include 1st page of plagiarism check. Students may submit to graduate schools at etd@grad.usf.edu. Deadline varies: Fall: Early November; Spring: Mid March; Summer: Late June.
Submit final committee-approved thesis in PDF. Same due date as ETD COA.
Doctoral Dissertation
Submitted to the Office of Graduate Studies following the successful completion of all exams.
