The Suncoast Region

Suncoast

The Suncoast Region of the Florida Section of the Mathematical Association of America was founded in 1974 to serve the west central region of Florida.

Although the Region is concerned with virtually all issues of mathematics education, research, and applications, the primary concern is undergraduate mathematics education.

The Suncoast Region Coordinator is David Kerr. There is also an MAA Florida Section Newsletter.

The parent organizanization for the Suncoast Region is the Mathematical Association of America, which is primarily concerned with undergraduate mathematics education in the United States and is one of the major organizations in this country concerned with mathematics.
