Duties

Admissions & Recruitment

  • Organizes admissions applications for review by Graduate Admissions Committee
  • Maintains applicant files and records
  • Prepares correspondence to applicants
  • GAR approvals/denials
  • Create and update recruitment materials, such as: informational materials, recruitment brochures, and website content describing departmental programs
  • Tuition Waiver preparation and submissions

Graduate Student Liaison

  • First point of contact to communicate academic program, prerequisites and course selection
  • Notifies students with substandard academic grades and issues
  • Coordinates Orientation for new students
  • Conducts graduation certifications
  • Fulfillment of other student-related administrative requirements
  • Communicates thesis and dissertation requirements

Graduate Committee & Director Support

  • Provides support for instruction through administration of course syllabi, class materials, exams, course evaluations, processing course schedules, maintaining course inventory, etc.
  • Enters information into BANNER/OASIS student database system
  • Prepares and submits Tuition Waivers
  • Proctors assignments
  • Prepares departmental historical data, spreadsheets, and creates graduate forms
  • TA office scheduling
