Undergraduate Program
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers the following undergraduate
degree programs:
Students who are interested in pursuing a major in either mathematics or
statistics can declare the major on-line at
Major Declaration.
All majors are encouraged to meet regularly with an academic advisor. The
undergraduate advisor for mathematics is
Dr. Burgos.
The undergraduate advisor for statistics is
Dr. Yanev.
Both advisors can answer general questions about courses in math and statistics.
Students interested in either a minor in math or the math major should contact Dr.
Burgos. Students interested in the statistics major should contact Dr. Yanev.
Majors are also encouraged to regularly check their unofficial transcript
(available at
http://www.facts.org) to ensure that satisfactory progress is being made
toward earning a degree. Majors can obtain a copy of their SASS report by
contacting an academic advisor. The SASS report gives the student a clear roadmap
of the steps that must be completed to attain a degree.
Suggested semesterly schedules that will ensure good progress toward earning a
degree in four years can be found at
TAPS.
